Museomix Midi-Py has regrouped the museomixers of the Midi-Pyrénées region for 3 years. They have the will and the drive to host the Museomix event in Toulouse and in the area.
The idea behind the group is to develop and assist Museomix projects in the region. The group works in close collaboration with local players, culture and multimedia professionals while keeping direct strong ties with the other Museomix communities.
The Museomixer group works with many organizations such as LMAC (Contemporary Art Mediation Laboratory) and associations such as Disco Soupe or le Temps des Communs (Commons’ Time) on the local stage fostering the networking necessary to host an event. This cross pollination allows Museomix Midi-Py to strongly support the Musée Saint-Raymond, Toulouse’s Antiquity museum by linking them with key local partners for this project.
The objective of Museomix Midi-Py is to develop new forms of mediation and to ponder the use of public spaces and cultural sites in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The desire to spread multimedia culture on a participative level motivates all members which hail from various walks of life.
